2008 Security Predictions

Happy New Year everyone! Today's post is about my complex and in-depth security predictions for 2008. This list covers the new topics we will see in security as 2008 progresses:

1. Vulnerabilities
2. Malware
3. More dumb fucking script kiddies
4. Botnets
5. Trolls on Full-Disclosure
6. Return of the AOL punter
7. Introduction of a new vulnerability class: ASCII-pr0n injection (API)
8. Vista pop-up security alerts
9. Automated web-application vulnerability scanners
10. Quiznos Chicken Carbonara

I know a lot of those seem out there, and sure, a few of them might be a stretch.. but mark my words: all of these revolutionary security topics will manifest in 2008.

I have inside information confirming this blog's indication that the security of the Quizno's Chicken Carbonara is seriously compromised with Dr.Raid remaining at large in 2008. Until this threat is contained, I recommend a red-level security threat advisory for all Chicken Carbonaras to remain indoors and disguise themselves as vegetables or home-cooked meals.
